Six-Word Memoirs

Filed under: Memes — Stuff @ 12:49 pm

Yet another idea I’m stealing… http://lesil.wordpress.com/2008/03/07/six-word-memoirs/

It’s Spring; I dig my garden.

Your heartbeat was once my lullaby.

Ten year old car - paid for.

Missing the idea more than you.

Earning enough to give good tips.

Sometimes loving. Sometimes hating. Missing always.

Always the girl your mother loves.

Like a child waiting for Christmas.

Remembering the things I’ve never known.

  1. The first one is definitely my favorite. I’ve tried so many times to come up with some, but it’s so hard for me.

My car is paid for, too - love it. But recently my air has been going out. Ugh. Makes me think it would make more sense to go ahead and trade it in rather than paying a lot of money to have it fixed. Could get a better trade-in while it’s still under 100K. But I hate car payments.

  2. Love this exercise because it forces you to think about the essence of what you want to say and not waste words. Anyway, here’s the first one I came up with:

“Truth, always the goal, is elusive.”
