I know weekend recaps can be a bit boring, but anything has to be more interesting than seeing the same old post when you visit, right? How about a list of why I had a good weekend?
1. A 2.5 hour brunch with two dear friends on Saturday at Mimi’s.
2. Good food and really good coffee at said brunch.
3. Waiter who looked somewhat like Joaquin Phoenix keeping my coffee cup full.
4. Said waiter overfilling my cup and pouring coffee all over the table. He claimed to be “easily distracted.” I think it was by my super cute if somewhat wind blown pig tails.
5. Exceptional customer service everywhere I went Saturday, especially BedBath&Beyond.
6. Adorable, semi-retro fan that I got at BedBath&Beyond.
7. Said fan being marked down from $49 to $25 because of a missing screw. I can replace a screw for less than $25.
8. Having a 20% coupon, which made the fan $20.
9. Finding, get this, 6 different brands of dark chocolate that I wanted to try, including 5 that I hadn’t tried before and 1 old standby, Green & Blacks.
10. Finding almost everything I need for my newest culinary adventure, making red wine vingar.
11. I forgot one of my favorites! Getting new sketchbooks and watercolor pencils at Hobby Lobby to inspire me to keep my resolution to draw everyday.
