Although I’ve been in my current home for almost three years, I’d yet to
purchase a lawn mower, until this weekend. The fact that I have a small yard
and an accommodating brother enabled me to go with out one for this long.
Also, the fact that lawn mower’s in my area a hot item to turn into, well a
hot item, I was weary to layout too much cash for one. Well, since brother’s
push mower broke, I decided it was time for me to step up. (Side
thoughts…1) Am I really blogging about buying a lawn mower? 2)I really do
tend to over think things.)
Anyway, I got a Scotts Classic and it is the cutest freaking thing you’ve
ever seen. For those of you who have not spent a few hours reading push
mower reviews, I’ll enlighten you. This is a reel mower powered by, well,
me. Yup, a push mower with no motor. For those of you who have seen my poor
lawn, you know I’m not going for a golf coarse level manicure, so this suits
my purposes rather well. I can also mow at six in the morning without having
neighbors in house coats coming out to pelt me with shoes. It’s actually
easier to maneuver than some push mowers I’ve used and, of course, a bit
more environmentally friendly. Trucking it up the hill is a bit rough, but
it will be good for me. Anyway, I’m loving it, but, that said, I’ve only
used it once so far!
Okay, that is my fascinating news for the day.
